I just burned 2 Linux MCE CDs but ... CD1 won't boot! I burned it on 2 different CDs now and I also tried to run them on my dvd and cdrw drive, it just won't boot!

I couldn't find anything on this in the forums so I assume I'm the lucky first to encounter this strange problem? (All my other CDs boot without hesitation ...)

Huh!

I did think this possible, because some people were talking about installing from an original KDE installation, but when I looked at the LMCE demo-video I really did see the CD or DVD boot, and I saw the choice "Install LMCE" (or something like it)

I know that was version 7.04, but I can't immagine why this wouldn't be there anymore in 07.10 ...

edit: And it all seems so simple now; the CDs aren't bootable, the DVD is ...

You found the answer.
The DVD is bootable, but it is also only meant for "100% certain it's compatible" systems ;)
The "Install KDE first, then LMCE" is the safer route if you are unsure all your hardware is compatible/tested with LMCE.
