Sorry, haven't got a core up at the moment - can someone tell me, when you set up a playlist for music, can you edit it (as in add new songs, rearrange the order and remove them) in realtime, meaning, whilst the playlist is playing the media, you can add new songs to it?

Yes, you can use Manage Playlist, to move the playlist items up and down in the list, and any new items you select while playing, while they cause the new song to be played, they are also added to the playlist.

It would be nice if the new music was added to the queue at the bottom not take over the current playing music, or at least have that option.

Tkmedia - definitely! You should be able to "queue" media up in the play list and reorg it without effecting the "currently playing" as you can in most other media players!

Plus this would be a simple change I'm guessing.

Come to think of it, Thom, I now remember doing that and being completely confused as to why each time I chose more media, it kept interupting the current play back. I seem to remember that the way it adds to the list supports this, too.

Will Mantis it as a feature request...

Main reason is, you often just want to get some music playing without having to choose the entire evening's play list first - when entertaining, this often develop as people say " have you got this...?" And you don't necessarily want your songs to stop everytime you add a new entry. At least if it continues, you have the option of manually queuing it to the next position and perhaps moving to the next track to start it right now.

That's another question, can I ask you guys while I haven't got my core? When in the play list, I think I remember having a hard time re-ordering the tracks without interupting play. Seemed everything you clicked on just started playing immediately. Can you reorder without this happening?

Yes I believe that is the way it currently works.

tkmedia - just so I'm clear (before I mantis it!) you are saying that currently it starts playing anything you click on in the playlist, ie there is no way to simply reorder the media, as soon as you click, the "song" changes?

Not in front of an MD right now will double check when I get home.
