Thin client MD crash...
« on: December 17, 2007, 04:52:59 pm »
I have had a Shuttle AMD-64 MD up and running for over a month.  This weekend while moving the device it was unplugged accidentally.  Upon power-up, I got the following:

Request_module: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-ffff

5 times in a row and then the system froze.  Rebooting the core did not help.  Has anyone seen this before or does anyone have any suggestions?

Since rebooting the core did not solve the problem, I would think you would need to rebuild the image for your MD in the web admin.

Well, I regenerated the md image with no effect.  Does anyone have any other ideas, short of reinstalling the whole system?  Can I safely delete an md?

Yes just use Web Admin -> Wizard -> Devices -> Media Directors to delete the problem MD and then re-add it in the usual way.
