mount XFS partitions
« on: August 17, 2007, 08:34:59 am »
I installed Kubuntu 7.04 and LinuxMce 7.04. on a EXT3 partition and I have 2 partitions formatted in de XFS filesystem that I made under Ubuntu for use with MythTV.
These 2 partitions are full of recordings and video's.

Now I can't access these XFS partitions (are not mountable) because XFS is not installed with Kubuntu. How can I make XFS partitions recognizable?
With the installation of LinuxMce Aptitude is not usable anymore and the package is not in the list of LinuxMce.

Aptitude should still be usable.  It's not recommended to do an apt-get upgrade, since that will upgrade kernel modules that may be incompatible, and linuxmce will update them.  But apt-get install should work fine.
