can't rip DVD

I can't rip DVD from linuxMCE. When I try to do so, I get the following message:

"You can only rip media stored on a CD/DVD drive."

Note that linuxMCE is able to detect when the DVD is inserted and play it automatically. Only the "copy DVD" feature seems to fail.

Any idea on what I can try to get things going?

Can you ssh in from another console and try running TailDCERouter.sh and posting the commands when you try to do a rip?

go into a terminal and try to copy/rip the dvd with the command disk_copy (/usr/pluto/bin/disk_copy). it is very simple to use it. report us any succes.

Have the same problem. Can rip by commandline using /dev/hda as source. When using GUI, DCEROUTER.log reports:
