Resolution/Refresh

I've installed ubuntu and MCE, while in ubuntu the tv is recieving its source no problem. i've looked at the settings in ubuntu it says my screen refresh rate is 61. but when i go into MCE configuration it won't let me chose the settings that is in current use and i can't find another working resolution.

is there a way to modify the files manually?

/etc/X11/xorg.conf is the video config file for Ubuntu
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.pluto is the video config file for LMCE

This config files are only for LinuxMCE 1.0 installed on Ubuntu 6.10!!!

LinuxMCE 1.1beta installed on Kubuntu 7.04 use only /etc/X11/xorg.conf
