I was afraid I'd get a response like that..  ;-)

if users would not have congested the ftp server with beta3 but used torrent instead, it still were public and one could fetch nightly builds from it...

which is exactly why I downloaded the torrents and then seeded for quite some time..  but oh well...  there will always be those who mess things up for the rest of us...

Is there someway we can sequence/automate a process that creates a torrent at the end of each build, and push it up to a tracker. Then limit the upload from the ftp source to say 2-3x the size of the torrent, but keeps strict share ratios on downloaders, forcing them to seed? This could dramatically reduce the load on the download server, and give much better download rate for everyone....
