Hi,

Did all the latest updates/upgrades etc.

Tried to boot an existing MD and got...

CLIENT MAC ADDR: etc
CLIENT IP: etc
GATEWAY ID: etc
TFTP ....   which gave a PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout  error message.

Then,  TFTP ..... tries again and after about 5 minutes I receive

3X  PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout messages and
      exiting NVidia Boot agent

System reboots.

Cheers.

That's weird I don't know of anything that would have affected this.  Did you do an "apt-get autoremove" afterwards?

Hi phenigma,

I did an autoremove sometime during the qoribiter issue.

I am presently trying to replicate on my dev system.

So far my NAS is fine so it doesn't appear to be a DHCP/detection issue.

O.K.  So my MD was discovered and is being created.

So what was the issue?

Was it having a pre-existing MD before the upgrade?

I will have to reload my main system from scratch, build a MD, then update and test.

I should have results by the weekend.

Cheers.

O.K.

So my MD was created.  Videos show my ID3 tags but when I select a movie to play, screen go black [like it's gonna play a movie] but I end up @ main menu.

Looks like "by weekend" is optimistic.

Cheers.

That kind of action happens if the audio is not configured properly.  Check your /etc/asound.conf file and the /etc/pluto/xine.conf file.  Feel free to pastebin them if you're unsure of the contents.

Hi phenigma,

I have audio/video on Core/MD but MD doesn't.

Will check /etc/asound.conf file and the /etc/pluto/xine.conf files between the Core/MD and MD first.

Then compare un-upgraded 20141002114429514 Core and MD against upgraded Core/MD and MD.

Cheers.

This is likely squeezelite interfering.  If a squeeze device was added in the device tree you should disable it and reboot the MD in question.  Sorry 'bout that, we're doing some testing it's not working perfectly yet.

p.s. if that doesn't work we can dig deeper

OK,

NBD.  One foot ahead, two back sometimes.  Overall we're ahead!

Hi,

Doesn't matter if squeeze is deleted via MD or Core.

It regenerates  (resistance is futile).

Cheers.

phenigma

Heh, right.  I just commited a change so sqlcvs update your 'dce' repo and the squeezelite device will be removed from the DeviceTemplate and should not regenerate after that.

Hi phenigma.

I downloaded the latest lmce/pluto updates.

Built an additional MD without squeezelite and was able to get movie to play.

After updates, I was able to delete squeeze devices from original MD and Core and then I powered up the original MD.

All is fine.  Movies now play on original MD as well.

Thanks for your help.

phenigma

Excellent!  Glad to hear it.  Sorry for causing the issues in the first place.   ::)
