Yesterday i had to shop around for my first Blu-Ray disc, since i have an AsRock MD with Blu-Ray reader in my living room. It worked flawlessly  :D

The movie was Cold Mountain BTW  :)

I put the bd-drive in my server, popped a disk in...and it plays. Then I thought of trying it on my me...went to manage drives, clicked on my Ford's drive to play....no dice. So that means this works only if the md in question has a be-drive too.

BDs can only play locally due to how AACS is implemented in conjunction with the drive, as apposed to DVD where CSS protection is only on the disc.  A ripping method is being investigated/worked on.  There are some hurdles to overcome for it to be useful though.
