Onscreen Orbiter Volume Controls
« on: April 07, 2013, 03:57:58 am »
Hello,

I have installed LinuxMCE 1004 and managed to get a media director up and running, connected my Marantz SR receiver that uses IR codes to a USB UIRT, and created a new template in the AV wizard to control the receiver.  The "test code" buttons work to increase and decrease the volume.  I have UI1 as the Onscreen Orbiter of the media director.  I can play music.  When I use my mouse to open the "remote" of the Onscreen Orbiter I can pause and play the audio file.  I cannot get the volume controls or mute to work using my mouse by clicking on the volume up or volume down of the "remote".  I have rebooted the entire system and it still doesn't work.

Am I expecting something that LinuxMCE cannot do or is there a mistake in my configuration somewhere?

Regards,

Steve

It is important, while setting up your AV gear, to make sure the pipes are properly configured.

This can be done in one of two ways:

(1) use the setup wizard to specify your receiver, and how it's connected.
(2) use the web admin, go to Wizard > Media Directors, and make sure that the audio and video pipes are properly going to your TV and amplifier, respectively.
