I'm having the same issues with my setup.

I'm using 4 IPCAM's (simular as Foscam), and have following settings:

  • Template: Generic Motion IP Camera #1916
  • path: /videostream.cgi?user=XXXX&pwd=YYYY&rate=1
  • TCP: 80
  • Username: XXXX
  • Password: YYYY
  • Protocol: http
  • IP: 192.168.80.5
  • MAC: 00:0d:c5:d0:47:e1

When i now open a webbased orbiter, i click on the proper camera and i've got a grey screen (with on the back the location of the orbiter in white font). When i touch the screen, my image refresed and i'm seeing the image (snapshot). I need to retouch the screen to have an update.
So it would be nice if i could have live stream as well...
Version: linuxMCE 1404, running virtual on ESXi

Orbiters: ASUS eeePAD, Nexus 5, Huwai, web
Automation: EIB technology, KNX IP ROUTER 750
Phones: Cisco 7912-7940-7960
Camera's: Foscam POE

If you want to have a live stream from the security devices, please open a trac ticket feature request. The current implementation is not working like that, and proxybased orbiters like the WebOrbiter (and the Dianemo iOS orbiter) won't have it has part of the default mix. Which is probably why there is a dedicated button on the Dianemo iOS Orbiter which is outside the regular Orbiter architecture.
