Missing NVIDIA Drivers
« on: August 25, 2011, 01:45:57 am »
Hi guys.

Not sure if this is an issue with the graphics card I have purchase or with a repo or some totally other problem.

I have today tried to install both the RC1 and 10.04 kubuntu onto my new core with following spec

Asus M4A87TD/USB3 870 Socket AM3 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard
G-Skill 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX Memory Kit CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.5V
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Socket AM3 3.2 GHz 6MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor
Gigabyte 8400GS 512MB GDDR2 HDMI DVI Out PCI-E Graphics Card

However for some reason on both it tells me there are no restricted drivers available.
Has anyone else experienced problems with this today?

Regards

Hi Guys

I think I have solved this issue.
The Nvidia card I think is too new to be supported by the 195 drivers which is the latest supported on 0810 by default.
I downloaded the .280 drivers from nvidia and installed them manually and everything seems to be working fine.
