GC100-6 electrical plug

I recently acquired a gc100-6 but it has a USA plug.
However it is made from two components, I can detach the part of the plug that makes it USA, and maybe add an European one, but again, where to acquire and why don't they just supply it with the device

On the plug it says output 12v and 0,5A. On the website it says •9 to 18V DC@300mA

Can I just buy another somewhat similar adapter say 12 volts 1,5 A, or will it explode?

There are also these generic mega usefull adapters with all possible options/connectors, does someone know where to buy one.

Does the device itself not have a an input range printed on it?

Standard plug/socket at device end?

Replace whole lead if it's not known whether transformer is the switching type or not.

USA uses 110V
Europe use 230V
So watch out if there is no input voltaga indicated on the adapter
