Hi,

I've just applied this snapshot on my core.

Haven't gotten to MD's yet - probably tomorrow.

Just a heads up - each "Windows File Server Share" now displays as a separate entity.

Videos, per say, are now not amalgamated onto one video/movie 0-Z screen choice but are now on displayed as separate shares with a "back" option to select Share 1 or 2 etc.

(Don't know if I like that - was kinda use to having all my movies over various drives show up in one place.)

0 to Z organization has been re-arranged as well.  I think I like it the new way.

Cheers.

You can change the default sort method that Orbiter uses for audio and video now.

Goto WebAdmin -> Wizard -> Devices -> Orbiters

At the top of the screen is a pair of pull down menus, one for video and one for audio, with buttons to 'Set Default Sort'.  You can set the default value to 'Title' for video and you should be back to the views you are accustomed to in Orbiter.

Thanks for the info.

Hi,

I tried Video Set Default Sort from Filename to Title - same sort.

However, is there a setting somewhere that will amalgamate the share volumes?

I would prefer not having to look in X number of drives for media.

Thanks.

Did you re-gen the orbiter in question?
Don't know if it is necessary but setting the default in webadmin and then re-gen of that orbiter brought back the original sort for me.

Hi,

Just finished...

/usr/pluto/bin/Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh

...and rebooted.  Still have Windows Share Volume 1 and 2.

Make a choice (Volume1) and media on only Volume 1 is displayed,  back (..) chose Volume 2 and media on only Volume 2 is displayed.

I am not overly worried about how files are sorted:  Recently Used, Filename, Title, Performer, Genre, Director, etc.

(Presently - Sort is Filename, Genre is all, Type is all, Sources is Hard Drives-Discs & Jukeboxes-User=Public)

Cheers.

I had the same behavior with snapshot 23759. I changed the default sort order to Title in lmce-admin -> orbiter. After an orber regen, it was back to normal title sort without the shares having their own folder.

Hi,

me bad...

I changed the default video value to "Title" but did not click on "Set Default Sort".  (Set As Default Sort)

So when I went to check video media it wasn't changed.

I should have realized something was wrong when I wrote...

"(Presently - Sort is Filename, Genre is all, Type is all, Sources is Hard Drives-Discs & Jukeboxes-User=Public)"

...because I had changed sort value to Title but it hadn't been saved!

Sorry Guys...

Thanks for the help!

Cheers.
