Need Guidance on new setup

My immediate goal

1. Build core
    A. Capable of eventually running 5 MD
    B. Capable of capturing 4 Cable programs in HD simultaneously
    C. Capable of ripping DVDs and Blurays

    
2. 3 MD
    A. Capable of full 1080p
    B. Capable of at least 5.1 surround sound
    C. Need one remote for each MD
    D. Need one orbiter (WAF)

Please Include pricing if available.

LinuxMCE is a learing experience more than a finished product so if you want finished product best way to do so is to buy one. Other way is to read what other people have and use on their wiki pages.
