Zwave - timed event sends 341000 OFF commands in 5 seconds ...
« on: December 10, 2009, 09:42:26 am »
Hi Hari,

I have got an timed event that is supposed to turn of the outside lights in the garten at 00:00. For some reason that seems sometimes to go crasy and send more than 340000 off commands.
The red light of the zwave sender was still blinking like hell this morning.

Hi Viking,

this is not z-wave related. As you can see here we are receiving all those commands from the DCE stack:
Code: [Select]
36      12/10/09 0:00:09.264            Received command for child <0xb68fab90>
36      12/10/09 0:00:09.264            OFF RECEIVED FOR CHILD 4 <0xb68fab90>

I'd guess that the event plugin goes crazy..

BTW. happend again tonight. This time 319048 times.

It has probably already killed two of my ACT zwave devices :( So I would really like to get it fixed.

That first ACT died and I thought it was because it got to hot. I then replaced it and shortly after it also died. I then got into looking throgh the log and found the above problem.

Hi,

maybe it has something to do with the time 00:00 - I changed it now to 23:30 - lets se what happens.

Another Times Event at 09:00 has no problems.

After changing the time for the event to 23:30 there has been no problems....
I wil test setting it back to 00:00 later.

Can anyone try to test this on their core ?

Timed event between 00:00 and 00:59 cause this and one gets out of this crazy loop by reloading the router.
Tried to see the relevant timed event source code but can't spot the error source.
