Well, the virtual joystick and ABCD buttons are not part of the JavaMO, so it must be something your phone decides to add. Maybe there is a setting on your phone to remove them?
I definetly agree with that, i installed JavaMO on more then 10 Nokias N95 and never seen that ABCD and joystick. Also, as Hari said, maybe it needs to be recompiled for v4 and v5.

Will that allow me to use the touchscreen without the virtual joystick?

To be honest, i really dont know anything about JAVAMO :) if You read my wiki YOu would have seen that I am a complete Linux newbie but surfing here and wiki pages i learned a lot.
Since You have a touchscreen i dont see why You wouldnt be able to use it. I must say i have never seen that joystick You are talking about, so i cant say anything about it.
After You try putting in DB resolution give it a try and leave a feedback here.

I think You have to put in pluto database corect screen size for Your 5800. That isnt hard, just a few command lines in Konsole. Check out my Wiki page in my signature, under Nokia 770 chapter You have a link how to put in the right resolution. After You edit DB, then You can choose the right resolution in Webadmin. When Youa re adding new resolution You will also assign the name so enter something You will remember when You will be in Webadmin->Orbiters . Hope that helps.

Guys,
It is not about talking about a tool. It is about doing it! Get it done, with whatever tool you like, show it, and be prepared to maintain it.
Nobody really cares if it is Joomla, Wordpress, Notepad or sed

I am going away for a weekend. When i am back, May 4th I can try to make a preview of Joomla. b4rney, I would love to assist You with it, You drop me a PM so we can arrange something. Hope to get it rolling in a few days. I will try to come up with a Categorization of website while i am on vacation. See You soon guys, hope on new LinuxMCE main site ;D ;)

Thom,
I think a cms like joomla is what is required. It allows for multiple authorised users to easily upload articles/news items and once in place does not rely on a web designer to maintain. I am not a php programmer but I have installed and used it.
I second that.Tryied Joomla myself and its amazing once the site is created. Users could be organized to write to each sections. That way the site could be daily updated, as work progresses. I am also no programmer but have a lot of IT knowledge and I just love hardware:)

Please make a wiki page for Your problem and how You resolved it. That way people dont have to search the forums to find an answer.

Installation issues / Re: Troubles using R8168 fix to netboot
« on: April 23, 2009, 11:15:13 pm »
This response might be a little late...
If you're still battling with this, you might want to confirm that "r8168" was added to the modules file.
Code: [Select]
cat /usr/pluto/diskless/<moon #>/etc/initramfs-tools/moduleswill output the contents of the modules file.  That file should contain the line
Code: [Select]
r8168

Thanx Alx9r, and it aint too late. I will try it tomorrow and report back progress. I dont ahve that MD with me anymore but i will borrrow it again for testing.

Core (lots of storage all in the core.)

Just my 2 cents.Keep Your storage on NAS. Its still acessable if the Core is down (not for LMCE network, but for any other sunbets You have in Your home) or You are stll in development of the Core.

ivanp, there is a reason I deliberately support specific microphones...
If you just try to plug in a typical mic, you will have echo cancellation problems.
Period.
The USB microphones I am adding support for have a phase cancellation loop where the microphone is closely coupled to its own sound card, where a speaker is connected, so that anything being spoken can be phase cancelled...
So, go ahead, bang your head against the wall, or listen to me. :)

Thom, i really found You smart and intelligent guy. All posts I have read by You were useful, informational and easy to read. And i respect what You say, but all i wanted to do is test the mic function. I dont want to buy anything expensive in the moment, just to test the system. Techstyle gave me an anwser and encouraged me to try it myself ( i am willing to spend around 15$ on mic in the moment). If I do get echo problems, of course i would buy Solo mic for the future.

BTW, can webDT 366 be used as a phone? with solo mic?

ivanp, watch my demonstration videos:

The Phoenix Solo can be obtained from Hello Direct.

Thom, I have seen Your videos, and i have seen its for 0810 LMCE. I am using 0710 and would just like to test to see how it works. So I was wondering do I just have to plug mic in mic port (jack header) and thats it?

Currently i am testing Telecom features and i am very pleased with the results. All works flawless and now i considering into buying a mic to test anwsering phone on media director. I was hoping to find something to attach to a wall, something like this: http://www.svijet-medija.hr/article.aspx?id=15436&sid=154.
I guess all i have to do is attach it to MIC jack on my MD and LMCE will do the rest?
Thanx in advance for any replies.

If You are willing it would be nice if You made a wiki of Your home setup and write into it Your problem and how You resolved it. That way many potential users can be more prepared for their installations and maybe You can help someone with their problem.

Installation issues / Re: Troubles using R8168 fix to netboot
« on: April 20, 2009, 05:08:25 pm »
Lol, i cant beleive i cant do this, i am so close, just really cant put r8168 driver in diskless image. I tryied all methods but i cant get it into image.
I tryied this:
Code: [Select]
chroot <moon #>
mv /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/kernel/drivers/net/r8169.ko /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/kernel/drivers/net/r8169.ko.not
depmod -a /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/kernel/drivers/net/r8168.ko
cd /boot
update-initramfs -uv
Nothing happened.

Then this:
Code: [Select]
cd /usr/pluto/diskless/
chroot <mediadirector-id>
depmod
cd /boot
mkinitramfs -o initrd.img-`uname -r` `uname -r`
exit

Also nothing happened.
I am going crazy here. I am a Linux newbie, but i know i am doing this the right way.  >:( :( >:( :(

Make sure you rename r8169.ko, otherwise it'll try to use it and fail. One more common problem is forgetting to run depmod on the MD.

I made sure i renamed r8619.ko to r8619.ko.not. After i type
Code: [Select]
update-initramfs -uv
i dont see r8168.ko on the list. should it be there?
