Well you got 2 options, you can either goto the setup wizard / media portion and go to the 'inputs' menu ... if its there you can check it and setup schedulesdirect from there.... if it doesn't show up..  you can drop to a shell and do a 'dmesg' and see if you see ivtv stuff or 'dmesg | grep -i video' , or 'dmesg | grep -i pinnacle' and see if you get any /dev/video0 or /dev/video0 or equivalents and goto 'computing' and run mythtv setup ... and configure it manually in myth (plenty of tutorials on the web for this)....

If you aren't seeing a  device, there's no driver being loaded for your card...

You should save yourself a buck and learn how to do it...  It's also self rewarding =]

http://wiki.linuxmce.com/index.php/Network_Settings - should get you setting a static ip (i'm assuming you mean the internet nic/cable/dsl/etc)

http://wiki.linuxmce.com/index.php/Use_my_own_pictures_in_the_Screen_Saver - self explanatory

Hari, Are HSM100's supported?

I'm running the driver you have below iwth a intermatic ha22 ... I've followed the instructions for the ACT homepro motion detector... (http://wiki.linuxmce.com/index.php/ACT_Homepro_Motion_Detector) .... And I add items to my HA07 and copy them over, well the HSM100's don't get copied over... they don't show up in the z-wave log or on the admin web... I'm still installing new devices so I know the items are added to my network .... they just don't seem to be copying over...

seeing how there was debug info here http://wiki.linuxmce.com/index.php/ZWave_API#HSM100__.28battery.2C_temperature.2C_motion.2C_light.29  I had assumed these were supported.

Any help is appreciated...

1) http://wiki.linuxmce.com/index.php/Logging_In  - your problem is most likely case sensitivity... link has info how to reset pw

2) I believe you need to fdisk/format the second drive but not mount it, it will just pop up and say it found a new disk and ask you if you want to use it...

3) You might have to compile your own driver for this one and possibly upgrade the kernel, which can be tricky. I think thats a rather new card...  Rule of thumb here is to stick to hardware thats supported, unless you're good enough to figure out how to add support for it.

Sadly that error could mean a wide range of things... let me run down a quick list for you...

Bad sata/ide cable
loose sata/ide cable
sata/ide cable near a fan causing ata interference
bad hard drive
buggy ide/sata chipset
buggy ide/sata chipset driver

... Basically the way to diagnose this one is... swap the cable / move it away from things that might cause rf interference...
Boot a live cd for a newer linux os.... like ubuntu 8.10 live cd....

That should help narrow it down.... you say it was working fine in windows, but maybe windows was just handing the error better...

Try those 2 things and see where that gets ya
