Okay, I think we can all agree that UI2 needs some work to say the least.  By now, a lot of you know me from what I've done with a few devices here and there and the Telecom subsystem.  Now I want to work on the UI, but I'm not great at creating textures.  I also know that there are talks of a whole new system for out UI, but that effort has yet to go anywhere so let's fix what we have, let's make it pretty, usable, and functional.  Whoever has ideas and the ability to create the textures post here, reach me by PM, or catch me in the dev channel and let's get cracking.

Also, stop in the dev channel at #linuxmce-devel on freenode and we can help you along.  Definitely decide whether you are going to do this as a GSD device or a C++ device.  My recommendation would be to do a C++ device, don't worry, there's lots of examples in our tree for you to look at to figure things out.  And as I said, there's help available in the dev channel, you just have to take the initiative to come talk to us.

Please submit bugs to svn.linuxmce.org, I'm actively working through the Telecom Plugin and a lot of changes/fixes have already gone it, but I know there are still a few other open issues.  Seems like a lot more people are using the Telephony features of LinuxMCE now that it's being maintained.

I abandoned it after several people who wanted to help never contacted me, Im not sure where I put the code either, it'd likely just need to be started fresh anyway as there were some dependencies which I've also lost my notes on.  Hit me in the dev channel if ur serious about this, I can help, but don't have enough time to do the whole thing.

As these devices are disabled, should we remove it from the tree and web admin to avoid confusing users?

LmceCape: Please try again in the next snapshot, it seems I forgot to update the beta page with the pluto-simplephone package so it would get into the snapshots, done now, thanks for the feedback!

I would highly suggest you get involved with us in the dev channel and not even consider any type of paid development until you have made significant contributions to the codebase.

Have you guys updated to the latest snapshot yet and re-added your extensions to secure your extensions?  I have not had a single issue since we implemented the SIP secret code recently.

It's currently unsupported, if you are interested in extending this please contact me in the dev channel, I have a pretty good idea of everything that needs done to successfully implement support.  It's not a huge task, but will require a good bit of testing.  I'd be willing to work with you on this one too since it's something I had targetted, but wasn't planning on getting started until much further down the road.

What do you guys think about using openDNS to resolve this problem?  It would be a relatively straightforward solution for an interested developer.  Seems to me that since it's maintained by them that it's one of the better solutions available.
