I have had a report that if you use the iso on my site as a base for a torrent, the torrent client will re download the dammaged parts.

have you guys grabbed the DVD off the mirror.chibiko.net site? looks like my isos have been corrupted

or use quality burners like nec (their firmware will always take a more stable burn over speed)

sorry guys, the iso is corrupt and I didnt know :(
ill fix this up over the weekend.

can anyone advise a way of splitting the file up via a shell without root access?

also i apologise for the delay, dreamhost actualy shut my account down because of a file i had hosted there... (from ages ago.. forgot to delete it)

whilst we are here has anyone got the quick install dvd working as just an MD? or do i need the kubuntu, and 2 cds for that (yes i know i can network boot but I imagine a hdd install would be faster and yes i know im thread hijacking, but its my mirror :P )

Yes, Wiimote works in UI 2, I havent even bothered testing in UI 1,
This is working without the Light Bar, however I want to do some fiddling as the control is a bit crappy at this stage.
(I haven't even mapped F6 F7 and F8 to the wiimote yet)

see this thread for what I'm updating.

Installation issues / Re: How to rerun the AVWizard
« on: September 03, 2007, 04:33:19 pm »
Simple av wizard.. my test core atm moves between a tv, an lcd and my old crt in the bedroom.
Whilst booting the media center will make some escalating beep tones, Press the LEFT shift key for 5 seconds, a low frequency tone will sound signaling the AV wizard will run when x starts, if you hear the tones, escalate back up your to late.

ahh the days of the dodgy horizontal hack for optus cable :D

Steve what card do you use with mythtv to pickup aussie channels, at the moment im focusing on what I have stored already however I am trying to get the missus using LMCE and im slowly getting there (wiimote helped alot, think its the wow factor) and im pretty sure TV would seal the deal.

For anyone watching this thread, Ive thrown the file up as parts on the mirror.chibiko.net site. so you just need to copy them together in binary format and it *should* work... (just testing a cat of it now.. windows instructions will be on the site too)

Feature requests & roadmap / Re: Wii Remote Support
« on: September 03, 2007, 10:10:22 am »
thanks for the update zarec,
I ended up finding the modprobe info with a bit of hunting in the cwiid wiki

spent hours trying to figure out why it worked in the test app, then stopped working when i tried to make it work for real, then stopped working in the test app, then hcitool stopped working.

damn dodgy bluetooth adapters

Ill post the packages i got it working with and maybe a keymap when i get home, got it working without the light bar too, however i assume the light bar will increase the accuracy of the mouse pointer dramaticly

I had the same problem you did, couldnt justify the motherboard upgrade for the pci-e card.

anything in the gefore series starting with 6 has the calls required to get everything working. infact im using the onboard 6150 that comes with the asus motherboard in the video.. the motherboard cost the same as the graphics cards i was looking at, add in another 50 bux for a dual core cpu, and recycle everything else.

my machine is now running quite well. just got to find a nice dvb-t card that works with it.
