Hi,

If you run into problems about signing apps or time problems ( expire date ) you can try to set the date back to one year earlier to test the sdk.
I use this small lag to test apps on symbian os v3 ( Nokia E50 ) when i encounter the problems signning apps  on V3.

Hi,

After a couple of days running linuxMCE 0710 RC2 i get this message /etc/init.d/mysql: ERROR: The partition with /var/lib/mysql is too full!

The problem is, that i can't start mysql anymore, anyone any ideas?

Dave

Ps. I already checked with df -h if there was low diskspace on my 160 gb hdd and i don't have any space left but this happened in a few hours, and i can't see in which directory or file the size is in.

Hi,

I see the files under "Files & Media | Media Files Sync"? but under every directory let's say the directory "A" i see an A.id3 while there are a couple video files in there beginnning with the letter "A"
I synchronize the files when i downloaded or rip a dvd to my media library, another example : I have an movie.iso in "M" and i synchronize the media in "Files & Media | Media Files Sync"?
and only the video directory because its a movie ( movie.iso ) i go to my orbiter and see that movie.iso isn't there, so i search and search, and yes there it is because i can see the title in the right below ( filename ) but with an wrong title like an music title "Haddaway, what is love" so completly messed up, and i see music in my video grid in my orbiter and video in my audio grid in my orbiter, i completly confused.

Hi,

Sorry i have to be more clear about my configuration.

Asus p5k motherboard with quad core 2.4 ghz
160 gb hdd with linuxmce 0710 RC2 64 bit --> systemdisk

5 disk array esata ( Port Multiplier ) cabinet with softraid raid 5 with already media data on the device ( not configured by linuxmce, ) 1 TB

I had my linuxmce system reinstalled for the 3rd time now, and for the 3rd time it isn't being reconnized by linuxmce to have the choice
linuxmce directory structure or private or public in my orbiter. However it is being added to /mnt/device/** But my media isn't being added to the database  until i mount the directories manually. And about the id3 tags bei8ng corrupted and that my media is messed up is another thing but at this time i think it has to do with the fact that my directory structure on the raid device is in my music dir = A to Z and in Video = also A to Z.

If you need screenshots or some othe info to maybe help me out tell me please.

Hi,

Quote
That is why you should let lmce manage the drives and never go messing around with mounting (or exporting) drives yourself.

I really don't know what to do with this because i don't see my media if i don't mount manually, and i don't see the hdd detection message in my orbiters, can you be more specific with ' managing' And is this manually mounting my problem with the corrupt id3 tags?

Thanx,

Dave

Hi All,

I have my media ( video, music , pictures ) stored on a 1 TB raid 5 config, linuxMCE automatically found this device to be stores in /mnt/device/** but i do not get the message in one of my orbiters to use the linuxmce structure just like when u add an second hdd.

So what i did was put some lines in /etc/exports run a exportfs -a and mounted my media from /mnt/device/**/Video to /home/public/data/videos, this really works because the lack of autodetection of the raid array on /mnt/device/**

BUT my problem now is that my media is being messed up, for example, i have a video file --> movie.iso under /home/public/videos/M/movie.iso ( Structure under videos / audio  is Alfabetical ( 0 to 9 and A to Z ) then i go to the pluto-admin website to resynchronize my media to the database, i reload my router ( is this neccessary? ) i go to videos in my orbiter and don't see any movie.iso, but an title of one of the songs in my audio directory ( 400 GB of audio ) ( /home/public/data/audio )( also Alphabetical ordered 0 to 9 and A to Z )

Hi,

I Have a Raid cabinet configured with raid 5, this is automatically found by the the deamon that is running in the background, on this raid cabinet i have my media --> Video, Adio Pictures, etc, my,

to share my media with my media directors and other pc's in my network, i mounted /homlieve )e/public/videos /mnt/devices/34/Video and the same for video and pictures, this works and i made an Video.folderlock files for the Directories on the raid devices otherwise i get double entry's in my database, this already happened, which tables can i empty, truncate i believe to start with an emty clean media database ( pluto_media i believe ) .

My other question is, how i can make my mountpoints permanent on my core to mount my videos, audio, picture, on my raid devices?

Thnx in advance,

Dave

Hi,

So you are implying that all my settings all my symbolic links etc, most off all my total config, just reinstall, no way, there is a lot to be done after the double layer installation has been completed. I want it redundant, and i don think its an overkill, can someone please explain why there has been chosen for an /dev/sda2            8271        9730    11721969    f W95 Ext'd (LBA)
I'm following above tutorial and i really think it can be done, when i finished it all i'll wikifi it all.

Users / Re: headless core with pvr-500
« on: July 03, 2008, 09:25:03 am »
Hi Zaerc,

This could be something, but how about the thing that this is still a clean core where mythtv is not installed, which packages i have to install manually, because when you have a hybrid core, first you come in the media setup screen with all the rooms setup etc and also when you have capture cards installed, it will ask you if you want VDR or MYTHTV. This option i don't have on a headless core, can you give me some guidelines which packages i have to install manually of mythtv and maybe some additional packages.

Hi,

Can someone explain how to configure a headless core via the cd install with an pvr-500 tuner in it and to let linuxmce recognize it and configure the card or does the card has to be in an media director, in my old situation i had my core as an hybrid and there i had the possiblity to configure mythtv with the pvr-500, but not anymore, someone?

Users / Raid 1 on Sillicon image 3132
« on: June 29, 2008, 11:33:08 am »
Hi there,

I'm trying to get my raid config to work. I have an Sillicon Image 3132 2 esata pmp ( port multiplier ) card that is connected to an 5 disk array, with 2 x 80 gb disks for the os ( Raid 1 ) and 3 x 500 gb disks for my data ( raid 5 ) this is what i trying to accomplish, for starters i believe that port multiplier is not supported by the recent kernel in lmce, it is supported in 8.04, i managed to install the latest hardy kernel on gutsy, don ask me why but this was only a test case, through this latest hardy kernel i was able to get DMRAID working but i had the dvd version installed ( i386 ) so i couldn't do anything about the os. Mu question is, can someone help out with setting this up or guide me, i read a lot, but it isn't clear for me to use DMRAID or SOFTWARE RAID and how to set it up.

linuxmce OS on 2 x 80 gb disks in RAID 1

DATA on 3x 500 gb disks in RAID 5

Can anybody help me out please.

Thanx a lot
