I deleted and rebooted the MD, it PXE boots to the point where it tries to run the Diskless_Setup.sh then it fails as expected.

Here's what the output from the webinterface shows after I've rebuilt the image:

Code: [Select]
sudo -u root /usr/pluto/bin/Diskless_Setup.sh

sudo -u root /usr/pluto/bin/Diskless_ExportsNFS.sh

 * Re-exporting directories for NFS kernel daemon...
   ...done.

It executed this incredibly quickly and does not provide any dir-structure under /usr/pluto/diskless

I'm also struggling to find anything in the logs of relevance.

PigDog,

Yup, I've just noticed that there's no information for this MD apart from the following:

Diskless boot
Architecture
Extra Parameters Override
Model
Last Update
Release
IP
MAC

Is it worth deleting the MD from the webadmin and retrying the addition process?

PF.

pigdog,

I get the "we announce ourselves to the router" message however it immediately tries to run the Diskless_Setup.sh and then fails regardless of how many times I've tried to rebuild the disk image.

I can confirm that this does not work on a fresh install of LMCE-0810-alpha2.

The device shows up as a media director in the web interface, however there is no data created in /usr/pluto/diskless and the reboot of the MD tries to re-run diskless_setup.

I had to create /usr/pluto/diskless as root and still no joy.

output from console when running Diskless_Setup.sh is as follows:

I got javamo to install on my phone. I am getting can't access JSR082. Where would I look to troubleshoot. If you need more info let me know.

Which phone are you using? If you check the wiki there is a link to a list of phones that support JSR-082.  My current mobile is a Samsung SGH-U900 SOUL that advertises that it support Bluetooth and Java, yet you can't install 3rd party apps and it doesn't have JSR-082.  I'll never buy Samsung again.

I've obtained a free SIM from one of the networks here in the UK and I'm using my old SE-K750i as my MO - it works a treat!

Have you run an update on the box from the KDE desktop?

I had issues with Bluetooth last night and upgrading to the latest packages resolved this issue.

evidently not, an aptitude update and aptitude install pluto-bluetooth-dongle followed by a reboot seemed to do the trick!

It's now working, nice work guys!

meh, should have read the logs.

+Not starting device 43 Bluetooth Dongle - binary "LaunchBluetooth_Dongle.sh" is not found.

Does this need to be logged as a bug against 8.10?

Does anyone know if the patch for 7.10 needs to be applied to 8.10 as well? I've got an SE K750i with the JAD installed from hob.dyndns.org and although the client fires up without issue, my Hybrid Core isn't seeing the phone.

Do I need to do anything?

It's a generic USB BT Dongle hanging off the back of the server if that makes a difference, and the dongle is recognised by LMCE, I just can't get the JavaMO to work. :o(

Cheers,

XM.

Feature requests & roadmap / Java/MiDIP orbiter
« on: April 16, 2007, 01:43:13 pm »
Hi all,

I posted this over on the Pluto Home forums and it was suggested that I post it here as well.

My plan is to take the mobile orbiter and re-develop it to run on Java-based mobile phones such as the K750i.

I don't know Java yet, but I'm starting on a course in September, so if I can help with this or work with anyone on this, please let me know.

As I see if, if we can get this working on all mobiles that support java, it can remove the need for windows on the system!

Cheers,

xMarks.
