Hi!

Trying to install the latest snapshot 23304 from 23/9/2010...

The core install went OK, no problems at all..

When i ran "sudo /usr/pluto/bin/Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh" to prepare diskless MD, i got that
QuoteThe following packages have unmet dependencies:
pluto-mythtv-player: PreDepends: mythtv-backend but it is not installable
PreDepends: mythtv-frontend but it is not installable

E: Broken packages
#### Package pluto-orbiter failed (/tmp/tmp.kGzVe19952) - We wait 10sec and try again - to stop retrying press Ctrl-C.
^C
error...

Since more then 10 mins there was no change, I ended the process with "CTRL+C"... - OK, MD should at least somehow ran without it, i thought...

After that, I started my MD (it is an Acer EEE Box b202), when something like that comes along:
Quote...
Trying to load: pxelinux.cfg/default
Unable to locate configuration file

Boot failed: press a key to retry, or wait for reset...

And now I'm stuck...

Is this somehow connected?
What to do?!

Users / mythtv --> network recorder (core)
June 03, 2010, 10:13:45 AM
Hi all!

I want to watch the internet stream TV thru Linuxmce-->Mythtv...

Generally in Mythtv dedicated backend, I would need to set a static IP address to one of my NIC's (ex. 10.29.23.XXX) - to the one, that is used "instead" of the supplied set-top-box).

As you see, the IP nember is completely different from our 192.168.80.xxx system - so i would need to add another NIC into the core or MD, with mentioned subnet etc... and after that set a "digital recorder" in mythbackend setup to that NIC...

Has someone tried that already? Do you see some difficulties already now - before I (maybe even) break my working setup?

Thanks, bye

Hi!

I'm running MD on my Fujitsu Stylistic 4110 with wacom digitizer pen.

The pen works OK during startup, but few moments before orbiter popup it is just... bang... gone...

I have to sonnect my usb mouse then to play with it...

Any ideas?

Since the pen is working OK till ...., i assume, my xorg.conf should be OK...

Thanks!

Ok!

I received my NEW VIA EPIA 18000G today...

I "trew away" my "old" via epia 6000 ML, and went to my bedroom, all happy to try my new toy...

and then...

at boot sequence it starts to looping/repeating following text:
****************
IP-Config: eth0 complete (from 192.168.80.1):
  address: 192.168.80.252  broadcast: 192.168.80.255
  getaway: 192.168.80.1  dns0 : 192.168.80.1
  rootserver: 192.168.80.1 rootpath:
  filename : /tftpboot/pxelinux.0

no end to see...

Users / firewall/port forwarding issue (??)
March 18, 2008, 07:48:16 AM
Hi!

I have some 3 Dreamboxes (satelite receivers) in my house, since Linuxmce installation behind the core... They need to be accessible from the internet (don't ask me why, it's a "funny" reason)

Before that, to get to these boxes, i just set port forwarding on my dsl modem/router like following:
port 5901 in -- port 5900 and ip 192.168.0.5 out
port 5902 in -- port 5900 and ip 192.168.0.6 out
port 5903 in -- port 5900 and ip 192.168.0.7 out
That worked without any problems, like said, till LMCE install.

First, i tried to access only the core. So i setup just like: port 5900 in - port 5900 and 192.168.0.31 out (that is my static core ip). No problem!**  ;D

BUT, if i try to set the port forwarding up on the dsl modem/reouter and the core, like follows, it does not work...

DSL MODEM/ROUTER;
port 5901 in -- port 5901 and core ip (192.168.0.31) out
port 5902 in -- port 5902 and core ip out
port 5903 in -- port 5903 and core ip out
...
CORE:
port 5901 in -- port 5900 and 192.168.80.5 out (first box)
port 5902 in -- port 5900 and 192.168.80.6 out (second box)
port 5903 in -- port 5900 and 192.168.80.7 out (third box)

:-\ :-\ :-\

the boxes can connect to the internet, so there is no problem with their network setup...

So i'm pretty desperate already, 'couse i need these "ports and stuff"....

Oh, and something: i disabled firewal. With firewall on i couldn't manage not even the (**) thing above...

Is it a firewall/port forwarding issue or my issue??

Hi!

Yesterday i tried to add one (first) MD to my core - the core is now setup correctly - i hope, the dhcp is working ok, etc., etc... The MD is a generic AMD AM2, 64bit, 1Gb ram... the core is a P4 2,4, 760 Mb ram

I know, the MD's must be diskless, so there is no HD in it, only DVD drive

I setup in BIOS LAN booting, it also starts it, till...
