Would LMCE be used to build the movie database and then use XBMC to pull the information via UPnP or the other way around?

has anyone been able to interface with sur guard receivers yet for third party monitoring.

2
Would Dianemo software work with Bell Satellite in Canada and can I add links from web streams like RT news, City TV or vodcasts? A nice feature request would be create something like PseudoTV used in XBMC.

Haven't bailed.

Reading digesting and thinking.
My thoughts so far.

Aside from taking the steps Dianemo has there must be a way to stage, allow freelance application and monitoring.

Seeing what Asterisk, OpenERP and Ubuntu have achieved in their ecosystems it strikes me as not being impossible to meet paid milestones.

The reason I originally suggested this in the first place is to try and funnel some money into a LMC ecosystem with results similar to or exceeding that of Dianemo.

For example, I know of a few home security and automation specialists that serve residential, commercial and government clients. They are keenly interested in where LMC is heading and wish something like Dianemo was available in North America with the exception of offering UPB as well.

Please continue as I believe this is a very healthy topic of discussion that could only benefit the future of LMC if this topic would evolve into reality.

Just wondering what kind of milestones could be set for LinuxMCE based on a specific amount of donation?

$10,000 =
$100,000 =
$250,000 =
$fill in the blank =

This is not a philosophical question.

Installation issues / Onlive with LMCE though wine?

I've seen some peeps have been able to get Onlive working on Ubuntu with Wine. Would there be a way to pull this off inside LMCE?

Installation issues / Flirc with LMCE
« on: May 04, 2012, 05:13:35 am »
Has anyone tried the Flirc IR adaptor with LMCE yet? It seems to be platform independent and can learn remote commands. This would be a nice and easy way to control several components such as receiver and TV with a hybrid build.

flirc dot tv

"Flirc is different from other I.R. adapters."

"Conventionally, I.R. adapters require the computer to understand the I.R. commands, which is what LIRC is for. However, methods like LIRC require extensive knowledge should your remote control not be supported, which can be more frequently than expected, LIRC is not meant for the novice. That's where flirc steps in. Flirc is detected as a USB keyboard, eliminating the need for XBMC special drivers. Any media center application that supports a keyboard as an input device, supports flirc out of the box. "
