Thank you.

In fact, I see my electrician this evening, and I have to say what I want NOW.

I just try to have all the needed stuff to be able to use linuxmce later with the eib-knx bus.

ryuma,
the eibd implementation in LinuxMCE supports KNX/IP.

Ok, but is it possible to put the ethernet cable with knx/ip into the ethernet card, and control KNX ? I suppose no ?

It's needed to use somewhere an usb connector ?

eibd also supports usb interfaces, for more information please consult the eibd home page.

I see that KNX also support encapsulation over IP

"As documented in the KNXnet/IP specifications, KNX telegrams can also be transmitted encapsulated in IP telegrams. In this way, LAN networks as well as Internet can be used to route or tunnel KNX telegrams. In this way, IP routers are an alternative to USB data interfaces respectively TP line or backbone couplers. In the latter case, the normal TP backbone is replaced by a fast Ethernet based line."

Is it possible to use that in place of usb with linuxmce ?

Hello,

I'm going to receive the new sciphone I68 4G with WIFI. (chinese phone)

Is it possible to installer an orbiter with a .jar and to use wifi ?
No, JavaMO Orbiter uses Bluetooth to communicate with core. You can try a new Web Orbiter 2.0 I think if your phone has a touchscreen.

I've received my sciphone i68 4G (71euros). Yes, it's touchscreen, bluetooth and wifi.

Hello,

Good news : installation is ok with last snapshot (27 july 2010)
#9
have you already tried last snapshot ? I'll try this week-end.
#10
I tried all the night, but same thing this morning : black screen with mouse pointer.

I'm gonna try last snapshot.
#11
it's just the core, installed with iso of linuxmce, on a 40GB HDD
#12
hybrid : do you mean windows and linux ? No, fresh install.

I already wait 1h, but maybe you are wright, I could wait an all night long.
#13
It was used without problème with windows XP, and kubuntu works fine before the install of linuxmce
#14
Pentium3 celeron with 1Gb ram, 40GB HDD.
#15
No idea ? Could it be better if I use the last snapshot ?
