Hi DragonK,

Yes, I'm based in Cape Town and are about the embark on my first install.

Who supplies the Zotac here in SA?

Where are you based?

Hi DrakonK,

Did you managed to source any Zotac mobo's?

Then as for the EeeBox PC EB1501U, I presume you wanted to use it as a media director only and not as a core/hybrid?

I want to make a start and if I'm not successful a Eeebox will be much more useful to me than a desktop.

Users / Recommended Paradox interface hardware?
June 13, 2010, 06:33:54 PM
Hi All,

I read somewhere that the IP100 can be used to allow LinuxMCE to interface with the DSC alarm panels i.s.o. RS-232, but can't seem to find the thread again. I also read that the interface for Paradodox (EVO48) still needs to be developed.

My alarm is currently being upgraded from a DSC panel to an EVO48, does it matter which hardware I acquire for the interface that is/will be developed for the Paradox panels? I'm leaning towards the IP100 as it seems easier for me to wire as my core will most likely not be close to my alarm panel.

Thanks

Paul
