I was searching the previous posts and I found this one that describes the problem I have on 810, only during DVD playback. So far, this thread is all I've found. Any pointer in the direction of a start at troubleshooting would be appreciated.

Thanks! Disable and re-enabling FW did it after reboot. But, the Netstat -r still reveals the same output. No, ETH0 is the external network interface. ETH1 is configured 192.168.80.1

Was up and running. Had HDHomeRun setup and NAS-Dlink-D343 on internal network. Can't Ping either.

...I find no place where the 208.67.217.0 Network is configured. The Network Interfaces in MCE Admin are correct as well as /etc/network/interfaces

Thanks for the reply. I am comfortable getting the card seen and functioning in Ubuntu 810. I guess I'm still wondering if there is a device template and anyone successfully deploying this card in the latest Alpha build of LinuxMCE. If you think there is a reasonable shot at getting the card and remote setup in MCE 810, I don't mind taking the pain and trying to develop a Device Template for this card and remote...

I am starting a fresh install of 8.10 latest alpha. Today I impulsed a purchase of the WinTV-HVR 1600 with Remote and came home and read the forum posts. I have not removed from the shrink wrap yet and, after reading here and the MYTH forum, I am not inclined to try to install this card.

I thought I would ask if anyone has had success creating a Device Template and gotten the card and remote fully functional in 8.10. I want to stay inside the LMCE world and not try to bend something that kinda sorta works.

Please comment.

OK. I went directly to the KUBUNTU site and downloaded the desktop image for 8.04. Apparently, ignoring the first WIKI instruction for download location. Why? Because I have the deadly conflicting personal character attributes in combination of ignorance and arrogance.

Thanks for the replies and the patience. I'm not new to Linux, but, only have RHE/Fedora experience. I have combed the WIKI and can't find what I missed, but, I will continue to look. I do try to follow instructions and research the forum posts before wasting people's time with a new thread.

Did a new apt-get update and dist-upgrade and am rebooting after that. I will try the ./mce-install.sh shortly.
