I wish I could. I would love to learn to dev, but honestly have no idea where to start. I have no programming experience at all, and to be honest, it all seems just about magic to me.
Beklieve me though, if I could, I would.

Perhaps after we get this done, we could evenfurther the web-intergration, perhaps having facebook for each user piped to specific Media Directors, ie, their bedroom, etc. Or we could continue along with google, with GReader integration, GMail sending and recieving, and pretty much anything with an API out there.

Are there any plans for LMCE to integrate iPlayer as an alternative to Hulu to us UK folk?

Hey, I've found something, but I have no idea how to impelemnt it, as I have the coding knowledge of an amoeba on crack.
The details are all on the website, but it could allow a Sony Errikson phone to become a 'follow me' remote for HA, Media control, and pretty much everything else. It may, of cours be already implemented, or this cannot be used for whatever reason, but, hey-ho, here it is:

Cheers. What I am doing isn't just a normal set up, it's a full blown Project, tentatively named Project Gordafarie, which I hope will provide a base for LMCE, at least for a certain kind of user.

Hey there, I am almost ready to release a project I've been working on into the wider world, and while it is not going to initially be LMCE powered, because I'm going to get it working first under Vista (or Win7), as it's easier to begin with, but I definately want to upgrade to LMCE at some point in the not too distant future (12-18 months after initial build). So I have to make sure that everything is compatable as far as possible.
I will be having the following, of which I am not sure about:
* KWorld PlusTV 399U Dual DVB-T USB TV Stick x2
* Asonic 8 ChannelC-media 8768 Chipset Soundcard
And that's about it. As I recall, pretty much any Bluetooth dongle will work, but please correct.
I will post as soon as I release it, but in the meantime, keep a look out at my Blog, where I will post details first. Seriouly, this is good, and will hopefully provide LMCE with something more than I can really say before I've finished it.

Yes, I agree completely. If we are to become an OS success story, we need a product that just works. A massive goal I know, because of the complexity of the thing. But this should be our first major goal. New features can come after that (and let's be honest, that's quite enough as it is).
I am a complete Newb, and am thus only suitable for bitch work, but I'm sure in a product such as LMCE, there's going to be a large call for that.
I'm sure the devs must get bored of hearing this, but OMFGWTFBBQ you lot are good. I mean, Really, REALLY good.
Okay, I propose the following goals, in order of importance:
1. It just works. For everyone, all the time (obviously with exceptions)
2. The UI becomes unified throughout.
3. Plug-ins, and supporting architechture.
4. Updated UI (A little less 2000)
Obviously 4 is a long way off, and it should be. All efforts should go towards 1 for the moment, as I can guarantee we'll have a huge infux of people when that is completed. Who's with me?

$50 would get you few buys. This is an open sourse project, and whilstI appreciate that that means free as in libre, It should also be as close to free gratis as possible. OS should be a labour of love, not of money, and whilst I can't program, If I could, I wouldn't expect to be paid for a OS piece of kit. That comes through advertising, which comes through popularity, which comes through freeness. Firefox is a good example of this,as is Linux. No-one has ever had to pay for using them, and their founders are fairly rich. Not Billionaires, admittedly, but they don't exactly have financial problems.
Whilst I'm not a developer, I do not view LMCE as anything other than a labour of love. An amazing, Fantastic, even orgasmic labour of love, but a labour of love none the less.

Sons and daughters of the internet, I bear good news! Skype is soon to ditch it's proprietary nature and embrace FreeSWITCH, which means nothing to me, but to the developers out there should be going weak at the knees.
This will make the Telephony section of LMCE that much more brilliant.
