Feature requests & roadmap / Re: Power consumption selection
« on: November 15, 2013, 12:57:32 pm »
I want to resume this topic because i need to know if i can know how much is consuming an object connected to linuxmce.
For example if i know that the oven is on and it use 900W, the washer is on and use 500W and my total power is 3,3KW in Italy....can linuxmce tell me single power consumption of that object and, theoretically, power off other household appliances to prevent blackout?
Maybe i can set a priority list of my household appliances to power off those that can be power on later

Hi guys,
there is an ubuntu porting for rk3188 soc.
Search Picuntu on google...maybe this could help someone with software/development skills to compile a fully working linuxmce distro.
These mini PCs could be used as media director because they are very small!

Feature requests & roadmap / a new way to show media
« on: January 15, 2010, 12:17:57 pm »
Hi guys what do you think about showing media as a well know media center like xbmc? i think that this is the best way exspecially for films. in fact as you can see in photo is it possible to see the coverart of the film and all info such as format of video and audio file and running time. but is also possible to read about the film. maybe could be glad to add trailer (but i think it is not really necessary).

here some photo

Feature requests & roadmap / wheather forecast
« on: January 12, 2010, 04:06:02 pm »
Hi guys,
what do you think about a plugin to see wheater forecast in 5 days for a specif city that you can choose from a list?
Maybe a beautiful skin like xbmc could be fine

I've seen XBMC media player. it seems good, it can also search on internet for images, cast and other info of video files stored on the disk. is it possible to add XBMC to manage video/audio files instead of the actual system?
many thanks
Bye

You can install a dvb budget card (like skystar) or a full features dvb card (like hauppauge). the difference between this two is that budget acrd require an mpeg decoder using software, full features have mpeg decoder inside for best performans. then you can use a card reader like smartmouse/phoenix to read the card. finally you need to use an emu like cccam or newcs to enable vdr or mythtv to read data from the card and decript channels

Users / How can i use regular dvb-s smartcard with linuxmce?
« on: April 22, 2009, 10:35:50 am »
I have a regular dvb-s smartcard. i can use mythtv or vdr to see dvb-s channels. i've read about a vdr plugin that is able to connect vdr to XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

P.S. a regular smartcard means that i pay every month a fee, so i'm not requiring a guide to setup linuxmce to make fraud or something else.
Many thanks
