Thank you for the warm welcomes. :)

Yes, colinjones, I have read A LOT over the last few days.  I hope I didn't come off as someone who was just "jumping in". As far as the network goes, I think I've got that covered too. I've got a Wirless N+ router for my LAN, two NICs for the core's mb. And, a 8 port gigabit switch for the LMCE-LAN. Plus, lots of CAT6.

totallymaxed, I do remember reading about an issue with the audio from that mb. But, I should be able to work around that. I already have the board. I don't intend on buying a replacement one unless I find insurmountable problems. I'll know soon enough.

Hey folks. My name's Chris. I've been checking the board, wiki and docs out for the last few days. I have been a MythTV user on and off since 0.14. Unfortunately, I've had some odd HW failures with my Myth setups.  :( I was getting ready to rebuild and decided I should give LMCE a shot first! I've dabbled in Linux for about 10years now. So, I'm relatively comfortable with what needs to happen to get my system up and running. Right now I'm battling thru a simple Kubuntu install on my ASUS m3n78-vm board. From what I've read, I should be able to get it running properly with a couple tweaks.

Anyhow, I just wanted to say hello. I'm looking forward to getting this project of mine off the ground.  :)
