there particular directories are outside the data directory but ill go through the database and see what i can find

i love the MD, but i was unaware that i could run it on an xbox?
how does one go about doing this?

if not then im using the xbox cause i have a few of them left over from my last setup and cant afford to replace them with pc's right now

cheers for the reply,
that will delete the data, but i was wanting to leave the data ie the linuxmce video
and remove it from the database

i guess the question would be, what defines the directories/files that gets put into the database
adding is easy cause i can just click syncronise but how can it be removed?

Hi all
anyone got xbmc working reliably with linuxmce

i can choose network then enter user and password to get to my media
but
when watching a movie it stops after an hour then i have to enter it again
but more importantly i can not add a source that works
a default install of samba on ubuntu works perfectly so it must be something with the linuxmce samba
any help appreciated

Hi Again

looking at my files from a MD i see all the linuxmce setup video
it looks like most (not all) of the home dir has been added to the database

how can i remove directories like
tmp_19 temp_pvr videowiz ect

Installation issues / do i need MD on my core for myth backend

This might seem like a stupid question for all you avid LinuxMCE users but im stuck

I have a dedicated LinuxMCE Server with a Dvico dual digital tuner and extra ext3 volumes with media
and 1 diskless MD with nvidia card

Im trying to get my Dvico dual digital pci/usb working and the server can see both tuners loads firmware but i can not add it with MythTV setup on my MD i have the feeling that the MythTV Setup program needs to run on the core so it can see the tuner but then i wouldn't be able to run a dedicated core.

any advice appreciated

ok more help needed :-)

I removed from fstab and rebooted but nothing was detected
reading another post i tried to manually create an 'Internal HDD #1790' but this isn't working, maybe because there is no UUID field

i know the disk array works cause i can mount it in fstab

maybe this info can help

cheers this is just the answer i was looking for

the install of kubuntu mounted it in /media and im guessing this is why linuxmce didn't see it

Hi all
I love the product so far but im stuck
i have a 500 gig hardware core mirror as my system drive configured with linuxmce filesystem
and i have a 1000 gig (1TB) core hardware raid 5 with all my old files on it

i mounted the 1TB to /mnt/bigdrive and could resynchronize i can see the files but i cant play any media

i guess im asking what is the right way to add this volume and get all my media working at all stations :-)
