Users / Remote access of Samba shares

How can I access my samba shares on the internal linuxmce network remotely?  I have to travel and access my files on my file server, which I have placed on the internal linuxmce network, with my company laptop from hotels and client locations.  My company laptop is an xp pro machine and I use the windows synch function to true up files changed while disconnected from the network.  My laptop in in the company domain, separate from the work group on my home linuxmce network.

Users / VPN - Home office under linuxmce

I'm a consultant who offices from home.  When I travel for work I need to be able to "vpn" to my work files from on the road.  Is this possible and/or safe with linuxmce as the network router?

Has anyone developed a device template implimenting control of an LG 42LG50 LCD TV?  It has an rs232 port on the back.
