Installation issues / Re: AGP / HDCP enabled card ???

The other item is HDCP-enabled video drivers and O/S. Linux is currently not HDCP compliant, nor are the Linux Nvidia drivers. Any Linux Solution (including this one) are work-arounds.  You don't need HDCP for Linux, but your compatibility options (discs that will play, etc) are currently limited vs. Windows.

so you're telling me that even though ATI puts out linux drivers for their HD 2600's, which are HDCP enabled, they still won't process Blu-Ray disks?

you have a display device that only accepts HDCP encrypted input?? Never seen such a beast..

best regards,
Hari

from what i understand, all my hardware needs to be hdcp compliant in order for me to play blu-ray. i just ordered a Lite-On Blu-Ray player and i already have an hdcp compliant lcd display.  so the only thing im lacking is an agp hdcp compliant card...right?

Is there anyone out there that knows of an AGP card that is:  1) HDCP enabled AND  2) works with linuxmce?

Any help or input would be greatly appreciated!
