Users / MythTV not installed?, and some questions (0710 beta3)
« on: January 29, 2008, 04:42:23 am »
Hi,
Well I think I got LinuxMCE kinda running... after a long time of trying.
But now nothing really works, it seems that Mythtv isn't even installed and Xine  wont find the demo files for the Graphics test.
So now I'm stuck and have no clue what I should do. I will now install the 0704 version of LinuxMCE and have a look if that works.
I have a Hauppauge PVR 500 MCE TV-Card. It was regognized but i cant set it up. and the file /usr/pluto/bin/launchMythSetup.sh doesn't even exist.
I try installing this Media Center since about 3 Days non stop with no big results. I even tried downloading the pluto-mythtv-player from the plutohome.com homepage but I get a "Server Not Found" Message. And I didn't find the package else where.
Also I wnated to ask why LinuxMCE removes software from the Kubuntu installtion, like adept...
I just want to use this system as a Hybrid at the moment but nothing I tried so far, made the TV or the Remote (Windows MCE IR Remote included in the Hauppauge PVR 500 Package) working. It would be extremely nice If some one could help me.
And some other Question I have:
1. Is there anyway to change the Language or will there be a German version in the future?
2. Is there anyway to change the design like a skin or something simlar?
3.  Will there be any support for German users in the future? (Localisation by IP, TV Programlist etc.)?

Please excuse my poor english I'm from Germany but this Post is really the last thing I can try.
Greeting
