I have this issue too and I don´t have idea why this happens.. (screenshot attached)

My database is doing strange things.. files from MDs and aditional HDs appear on it and I follow the instructions on this tread (http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=6408.15) to reset the database.. but all things back some time later.. (attached untitled 2 and 3)

well..if anybody know why this happens drop me a line.

Can you explain me how I create this preference file? In my instalation I dont have it in apt folder. What I made was put text from ticket on file and save it "preference", but when I do the apt-get -V upgrade I have the same message without the preference file.

As a side note - MythTV's perl stuff WILL go to .23 using "upgrade".  I'm not sure if LinuxMCE depends on it or not, but mixing versions generally leads to bad times.  For this reason, you should apply the fix in ticket 574 ( http://svn.linuxmce.org/trac.cgi/ticket/574 ) to the core and each MD BEFORE attempting any updates.

Use the "-V" option to see what version you are getting if you are still worried.  Here is the output without the preferences file:

skeptic, you´re right about buy the supported giratyon is obvious do this .. I just ask because I don´t have nothing to do with my unused fiire chief and I spent some money on it and used it for a very short time... :/. Nobody will buy it here in Brazil

There's someone interested to resolve the problem ($$)?

I would, but not by donating $ 100. If more people contribute I think we could solve this problem without expensive just for some of us.

To do this I will need two usb uirt? and in each uirt I connect one double emmiter? Or I will be able to use my ZC21 connected to my usbuirt and the 2 double emmiters in each zone of ZC21?

Well you will need two separate USB-UIRT's - one for each Tuner (you dont need a double emitter). I cant see why you'd need a ZC21 in this situation.

Hi Andrew,

When you talk "two separate USB-UIRTs", this means one usb uirt in my core/hybrid and one usb uirt on the media director? or two usbuirt in my core? using my two tunners of pvr500?

sorry but sometimes I lose some details with my poor english.

Hi guyz,

I have a PVR 500 using 1 channel source (my cable box is controled by usbuirt). My PVR 500 have more 1 input avaiable and my doubt is, can I connect another cable box to my pvr500 to have 2 different channels sources avaiable? And making this, I will be able to wach 2 different channels one in my core/hybrid and another on MD?
And making this, I will have two cable boxes but with the same IR groups. How to send separete IR Codes if they use the same group of codes?

Im using one usbuirt and one IR emmiter 286 xantech.

I bought one connector block Xantech ZC21 + 1 IR emmiter 286 to try get this working.. but I don´t think this will work because Im unable to set cable box 1 send ir codes to zone 1 and cable box 2 send codes to zone 2..... anybody can help me? I just need watch 2 different channels in two different places...

Hi,

I would like to know if this connector block works well with lmce usbuirt. I need the two zone because I will have two cable boxes in the same place connected in my pvr 500. I have two double emmiters "xantech 286" and I need control of my home teather, 2 cable boxes and my samsung tv.

If work, do I need make some special configuration?

You're right underfunded, the problem was the DVD install. (I tried 5 or more times, making fresh installs..)

Hi all,

I did a fresh install using the 810 Beta DVD and after solve the basic problems, like black screen after reboot, and other "normal" things my system is running, but did not installed aplications like firefox (Im unable to run web admin panel from computing menu) and the most important, mythtv was not intalled. When I choose the option TV on UI, I receive one message saiyng some thing like "I´m unable to use this type of media..etc".

Anybody knows what is happening?

Hi,

I was running 810 normally, but after type sudo apt-get update & apt-get upgrade my install stop on "DCE Router login:" screen, the prompt screen... any suggestions to solve this?
To start my system now, I need log in DCE Router, type startx, and then, after X up, open other terminal and run manually the commands to start my screen orbiter.
After this everything works fine...but I would like the system with autostart..
