Please do not try to stop me or tell me "You're on your own" ;-)

The community here is great and an AP running on a headless core would be good, I am not going to use an external AP :-)

I have a Commell LS-570 "swiss-army-knife" firewall and I have just put LMCE beta3 on there.

It has an atheros ABGN mini-pci wifi card installed and I am going to use this with LMCE and a Cisco 7921G (using 11a).

So I was thinking of dropping to a shell on the core downloading/compiling and installing madwifi then configuring it to act as an AP, any pointers on what else I need to do, ideally I would like the 7291G to be detected on the atheros interface and for that to work using chan-sccp-b?

Please help.

I would like to get the PLCBUS USB adapter and some plugin modules for AU, does anyone want to combine an order?

Is anyone aware of a supplier that can provide the AU plugin stuff?

OK thanks to the guys in the forums it looks like this is a no-go, all to do with getting IP running over bluetooth...

Assuming I use an 100m capable BT 2.0 EDR dongle on my core, the n800 supports this, can anyone help with a compatible USB dongle choice?

Can I use my n800 as an orbiter only using bluetooth, my core has no space for a 802.11g card but it does have USB bluetooth?

I need to build up the core before trying this out.

Hi Darren/Dan,

I am very new to LMCE :-)

Basically, I love the direction that LMCE is going, and am trying to get the ideas floating round my head in to some sort of system.

I was thinking the phidgets would be good for a form of remote telemetry, also they have rfid and other cool stuff.  I was going to leave the device control to PLCBUS but phidgets can be used for this as well.

I do have fairly good linux knowledge including installing packages, building kernels and compiling applications.

I do not have any programming experience, I am not sure how successful I would be here.

I will be around for the long term, I have a list of things todo, I will build a core as soon as I get it downloaded.

Its all great stuff and I am stoked by how helpful everyone is.

So the C++ API source above could be ported used to create a DCE device?

Is this possible, phidgets.com can be used to monitor and control a heap of stuff, sensors, relays, and servos for instance.

I have the PhidgetWebservice21 from phidgets.com running and I have connected to it using telnet on port 5001 but I can't figure out the commands to control the socket.

Can somebody have a look at the source and help figure out how to control the socket?

As a start I just want to read the value from a temperature sensor connected to the PhidgetInterfaceKit 8/8/8.
