Installation issues / DirecTV Receiver - I screwed up the IR codes - how can I undo?

I was trying to setup my Hughes HBH-SA DirecTV receiver, and managed to foul up the IR codes. The device is not on the list, so I had to start from scratch. What I would like to do is to go back and try again, however, when I try to create a new device template, the possible IR codes to try out are not presented - I am only given one set of codes to try, and that set has only a couple digits available.
What did I do to remove the IR codes from the device template wizard?
