Maybe a better question is if it works for MythTV, wouldn't it automatically work for LinuxMCE?  After all, isn't MythTV doing the recording of shows?

Is anyone using the Plextor ConvertX PVR USB device as a capture device for recording tv with LinuxMCE?  It is not listed under the Category:TV Cards wiki page and I was wondering why.

The MythTV site shows that it is supported and it is mentioned briefly on our Wiki on the hardware page but then not mentioned anywhere else.  It seems like a great device since it can record directly to MP4 (Divx).

NewEgg is selling this USB device right now with a $60 rebate so that is why I am asking.

In a last minute decision, I configured the following system from Dell for $329.  I am not sure exactly what kind of motherboard it has but hopefully I can figure it out when I get it and document my results with LinuxMCE on the Wiki.

Hard drives, dvd drive, I will scavenge from other computers in the house. 

I realize that the MotherBoard is not one of the ones listed in the Wiki but since it has a NVIDIA GeForce 6100 video card and that seems to cause most of the problems, I thought that this may work.

Please let me know your thoughts.

For now, I am just looking for a way to see if windows machines and other appliances (like Lingo and Belkin Network USB hub) are getting the new IP address from the Core when I switch them all to the Core's DHCP.

On the Core, is there any web interface or command line tool to see all the computer names and IP addresses of all the computers on the internal network? 

I am not sure, maybe this is really a Kubuntu question.  Now that the Core is acting as the router for the internal network, it would sure be helpful to be able to see all the machines with their IP addresses in one place.

Has anyone been successful with getting the Snapstream Firefly remote working with Linux MCE?
