Bump... Nobody out there on Cox Cable??? I would love to know what TV card/equipment to purchase that will work with Cox's digital signal (which I haven't been able to get any information about from Cox.)

Sept 28 to Oct 3 -- five days (which includes a weekend)
Lord, it's not even been a week yet. Chill out and be a little more patient.

I'm in the Oklahoma City area and all we can get around here is Cox or satellite services. I currently have Cox and am trying to decide on what TV card to purchase for system. Anybody have experience setting up LinuxMCE with Cox?

Anybody have any experience with the WinTV-HVR products from Hauppage?

I mistyped the file name, it's actually greetings.mpg but it's still not there on my install 

Just rebooted and set up video resolution, when video setup wizard started it said: "File not found /home/videowiz/greeting.mpg

I went into KDE desktop and searched the filesystem, nada, zip, zilch nowhere to be found.

Any ideas?

teedge, It's already been brought up in an earlier thread and Paul suggested that we go directly to Plutohome's Wiki. That's exactly what I did and got the same error.

Does somebody have this PDF saved somewhere?

Hi all, I'm a newbie here, but reading this thread has sparked my interest. I'm very interested in helping out with organization and documentation. I'm not a developer, though I do so some amateur coding, but I have done technical documentation for hardware related issues. I generally have my evenings free and can generally also bust out some time at work.

My interest in LinuxMCE stems from wanting to create a touchscreen video intercom/background music system for a small office environment. A lot of the features in LinuxMCE are not really needed in this sort of implementation, but the feature set is so rich and the system far more stable than anything else I've tried, that it's the only system I can really consider for my project. I expect that as I become more familiar with the system that I will want to offer other services to the office staff, such as video on demand, room light control, etc.
