i have that problem too and i think that the problem is inside the xineplayer plugin

the command line to call xine doesn t have te correct syntax i think

get gigabit network cards and you will see whats fast....boot

you can get to web admin from any pc on the inside network it doent need to be on the core itself

just http://IP_of_THE_Core

the default is maybe 192.168.80.1

please remember that the diskless boot creation takes some time to finish.
and dont forget to reload the router of course after.

you can check all diskless boot log on the core just go to the corresponding number and check inside /var/logs for any errors..

as a way to get to all the logs on the core i m using webmin and added all log files to it

after reading a lot of xine info i found something about the comand line for xine to read subtitles

anyone knows where that script is on pluto so i can check if its using subtitles as a option?

check network cards maybe your installation has changed their order and you are trying to get dhcp on the wrong network card ...

i used this to install mine 6600GT and it worked OK no changes no editing new nvidia settings aplication on ubuntu menus.

and no error also...

hi hugolp that was what i was saying ...
the mediaportal path is a no go becouse its too much windows software on it besides mythtv with some work do the some thing .

i think a stopper for me right now are two things can't see my 10.000 plus pictures and no subtitles for my video colections with xine problably a bad config somewhere so must stay with my corrent mediaportal solution. the fact that my natural language is not english is the easy part i think.

so i must wait until those two are solved and if something else will be made to work   befoure i dont despair for me the installer and the core are the ones that must be  stable first the rest is add-on features

i agree with some of it...
first mce (as is called the mediacenter from microsoft) is not that great and its not that working beast. I used it for two weeks and get to mediaportal by team mediaportal its by far better and its free and open sourced.
I think linuxMCE is to be instaled by the package manager in a future ubuntu release
like all other programs are and this is a great idea.

getting things most of us need working first is a good idea too but what are those? mythtv works...asterisk works too...all of them working together in a distro of choice is what linuxMCE is all about ...isn't it?

this is something linux need and must have great work people.

i downloaded the pluto version to my phone and created the device by hand on with the mac adress and it worked..
check you power setting if they are not stopping bluetooft.
