Is it possible to change from network card to wireless? I have used eth0 to get everything working and installed the wireless ra0 after the install. I want now to change eth0 to ra0 but can't figure out how to do it. Our do i need to reinstall and asign the ra0 from the beginning?

Didn't want to tweak wireless till i know linuxmce was working for me.

I have done a fresh installed fully update without extra sources lines our extra prg's, but that was a no go for me . Doing a fresh install without updates again like i did the first time (had the gray screen problem then).

Probably it was a good idea to do a vmware install, will try that one next if this fails to.

Edit : it is installed, now trying to get it to work.

was it the vmware which worked for you? Or was it a clean install without updates?
and what was the size or name of the ISO you used?

I have done a fresh new install without update on a partition. Install worked without problems. I did a full install that was standalone ( not loading ubuntu to start it, but start it right away ) Not using vmware.

Needed to tweak it a bit after install. Needed to install nvidia driver and activate it. Then after a reboot i saw the configure part of pluto and after a reboot again i saw the loading screen and i was in after a 10 min wait.

Now trying to figure how everything is working. Don't have my pvr-500 working yet and myth part in webconfigure is giving errors.

I'm finding that for testing purposes, the best thing one can do is install LinuxMCE under a VMWare virtual machine.  The installer clearly expects a pristine Ubuntu 6.10 Desktop installation, preferrably dist-upgraded, but without any custom packages.

I had the same problem with broken packages but that was on the old ISO and now there is a new one and it works fine.

Where to get it? And may be smart to put the right installer on the iso to, so you don't have to look for the right installer with the right iso.

I have purged vim-common and it seems to run now the installer. Its installing some things atm. Hope it will fully install now on the ubuntu 6.10 full updated.

Same problem here. With  a fresh  full updated ubuntu 6.10. Tryed also the libmysqlclient14_4.1.15-1ubuntu5_i386.deb that some suggested, but still the same result.

Version installer : mce-installer_1.0.0-1_i386.deb and the iso from piratesbay.

Yesterday i did a install with a fresh install without update and everything installed just fine , but then i had the gray screen.
