I have to say that I am out of this project. I wont be implementing voice control.

There are several reasons. It is very hard to talk with the main developer and he hardly answer the emails. Last time it took 3 of my mails for getting an answer. Now its been two weeks waiting. I have seen you can buy linuxmce builded systems from the internet. I guess he is busy. Also, the source code havent been updated since the begining. The kubuntu version isnt there. When I try to install linuxmce I get a lot of bugs, and cant build from source, cause the source is old.

Via epia has been reported to be not powerfull enough to run HD video. You have the option of a motherboard with Nvidia 6 integrated.

I hava a Nvidia 7100GS 512 RAM.

Its not an Xorg.conf problem. Allredy had a previous xorg.conf version and tried and didnt work either. I tried some other options the guys that help with linuxmce at yahoo messenger suggested, but no luck. The only option we saw was to reinstall.

I am interested to know what do those modules do, so I can check dependencies or incompatibilities.

Hi

I have manage to get linuxmce working with UI2 with masking. But I have a problem. Every time I start linuxmce I get this message saying I need to install XvmcusesTestures, AllowGLXWithComposite and RenderAccel. If I say yes it does some config and it asks me to reboot. When I reboot kubuntu, the graphics are fuck up and wont load. I dont get to the point of kubuntu asking for my user and pasword. Tried to recover with help from the guys at yahoo messenger but no luck. I had to reinstall.

The thing is that everytime I start linuxmce that message appears, and I have to say no everytime. Also I think there are some graphics not appearing as they should, so I guess I still have a some kind of problem. Does anyone knows what that is and if I can config it on my own?

I have read in another post here that to run UI2 with alpha blending you need composite to be enabled. Ill try that tomorrow.

pixelator so you are saying that the ZCS000 has suport and works under linux and linuxmce? I dont really care about serial or usb.

I have found the mythtv scan poor. It just doesnt pick channels that other programs do. And as well, doing several scans one after another makes more channels apear, wich is weird because signal doesnt change so much over 2 or 3 minutes that takes to scan 3 times.

Again in www.linuxtv.org you can find several utilities to scan and get channels. You should save it in a file named channels.conf and then load that in mythtv back end configuration. Watch out because to me the channels loaded this way are configured to not use eit, and you have to go one by one and configure them to get the programation info from eit. Mike_Izisys go to www.linuxtv.org, look for dvb-t hardware and download the file dvd-usb-dib0700-01.fw and place it into /lib/firmware/ (or if there is a directory there with the kernel number place the file in there /lib/firmware/kernelnumber/) then reboot and it should work.

Keep in mind that some version of these cards dont work with the actual linux driver, so good luck, cause mine doesnt work and it just keeps on hanging mythtv back end every hour or so.

Ok. Dont know why linuxmce wasnt seeing my users and wouldnt let me check one. I had to reinstall and everything worked fine. Its working now. Thanks

Ok. I went to computing, and I choose Mythtv setup. Then it appears a screen with a keyboard on the bottom, a blank page on the left with a point and some arrows in the center (that I cant move) and a Mouse leters to the right with two buttons (left and right) that do nothing. I can go back to the main menu.

I am guessing thats not what its supose to happen. Whats going on?

The exact cards I am using are WinTV-NOVA-T-DVB-T 90003 LF (Rev C2B0)

If the dual 500 works I might invest in one of these, but it would be nice to see it working with these Nova-T's

Interested to hear about your setup DrACoNus - is that in the UK?  What High Def source are you using?

I own a wintv-nova-t-500 (the european dual turner) and there is a problem in the kernel with its drivers, that makes the kernel ops, and it might crash the system or it might make you quit the video aplication you are using. So right now and before a update is released is a no-way. Its a shame because its a good card, but not even the newest kernel solve this. Well have to wait a bit to use this card.

Nova T500 is working fine here... we have a number of them installed in various Core's. We also have a single Core with 3 x T500's installed.

Seems like rev 61/63 is fine, but rev 62/65 has the problem. I guess I had bad luck and picked the bad one. My advice: If you pick the bad one, you wont be able to watch tv properly for more than an hour.

Hi

I have installed linuxmce 1.1 BETA1 succesfully but when I am configuring it I havent figure out how to configure my usb dvb-t stick. Its an AverMedia AverTV DVB-T Volar. What I did was to go to the pluto admin web page and in the media director in the hybrid-core (where I have the usb dvb-t) I see a list down with pvr cards, but the AverMedia isnt there. So how do I use my card?

PD: Forgot to say that I have it working in Mythtv in the same computer in my Ubuntu partition and that Kubuntu detects it fine.
