You can change the way the files are displayed. You have some filters(Media -> Video -> Sort menu) to sort them by filename, title, performer, genre, director.
Just select 'Filename' and LMCE should display them by folders.

there are two installers in the package that you downloaded from bittorrent. use the installer with the greater lenght.

That means that on the LinuxMCE.packages.iso you will find 2 mce-installer.deb . Make sure that you use the one that has 5.4 Mb.
You can also try using the .iso directly from the hdd, this way you will save time since the caching of the cds takes almost one hour to complete.

Note that the first cd is the packages cd and the second is the cache cd.

You must go to Web Admin (from the hybrid UI->advanced->computing), select the Advanced->Network->Firewall Rules page and add the following ports : 80(http), 22(ssh), 3450(DCERouter), 445(Samba Shares).

Unfortunately, picture viewing is still unavailable. As for the background pictures, make sure you have a working internet connection so that LinuxMCE can download pictures from www.flickr.com. Otherwise, you will have a black background.

Be sure that you reload and regen the orbiters.

The user and password for the web admin page are both the user that you've made during the setup wizard.
To reset the password you must use mysql:
type in a console:
1.mysql
2. use pluto_main;
3.select * from Users; // you will see all the users created
4. update Users set Password=md5("mypass") where UserName="myname"  // where myname is your user name and mypass is the new password

Users / Re: Remote MD & Nvidia

The nvidia driver installation on a diskless md is a known issue that is resolved and will be available in the next release. You could just as well install the nvidia driver manually( apt-get install nvidia-glx, replace in /etc/X11/xorg.conf nv with nvidia in the device section, driver).

To make the mouse cursor disappear just click on the right mouse button.  You will have a full screensaver, no menus, no mouse cursor.

You should try using web orbiters instead of XP orbiters.

Here are the steps for creating a new web orbiter:
From Web-Admin page:
1. Go to Advanced -> Configuration -> Devices
2. Press "Add a top Level Device" . A a description like "Web Orbiter"
3.Press "Pick Device Template" . An Pop-Up Windows will appear.
4.Select from the Device Template drop-down the "Generic Web Device" and press "Pick Device Template"
5.After the new Device is created, expand it by pressing the "+" sign and click on the "Generic Proxy Orbiter"
6.Select the room for this orbiter, generally the Core room will be a good choice, then press SAVE
7.Do a "Quick Router Reload" from Wizard -> Restart
8.Type in the address bar of the Browser : http://LinuxMCE_ip/pluto-admin/weborbiter.php

For lighting and climate control you can use Zwave. This connects to your computer through USB and it will be detected automatically.
