Title: how do i shut down mce to do an upgrade?

im running 2.31 and want to upgrade to 2.34 but dont know the proper process do i shut down mce and just do the normal latest release install. dose this overwrite my media? is there a guide.

the upgrade process is simply log in and run 'sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade'
no need to shut anything down, although its a good idea to reboot afterwards.

Thank you for the reply. O.o that was easier then i thought, now i can use the windows installers  ;D
many thanks. lol i guess im used the the headache of a windows update  ::)
