Title: Where do I edit recordings path
Post by: chipppy on February 25, 2009, 11:55:26 am
I have have install a 2nd hard drive (HDD) to store all my videos on (movies/videos and tv recordings). I have changed the file path for the videos but I am blind and unable to find where to change the storage path for recordings.
I must be going blind.

Anyone know where to find/change the storage path for recordings?

Cheers

What PVR software are you using? VDR or MythTV?

If I understand you correctly, you're hoping to tell mythtv to save your tv recordings to your second harddrive?  If that's the case, I'm sorry to say that you cannot do this.  I asked that question myself and heard it straight from Thom (a dev) that this is not possible.  It is due to an older version of mythtv.

I wondered about that myself. What if you where to edit fstab and mount the drive into the existing directory tree? I tried changing the path and it would reset itself.

Don't even go there. 0810 has a newer version of MythTV that uses storage groups. We automatically populate this with every single found pluto storage device in the house.
