Title: Media Director question - VGA monitor as display instead of TV out?
Post by: zeitgeistkilla on October 06, 2008, 08:58:47 pm
This is probably a no-brainer, but I've learned never to assume anything when working with Linux...  Searching the forum archives didn't turn up this specifically, so I thought I'd ask:

Is it possible to build a Media Director that uses the standard VGA monitor as the display instead of routing out to a TV?  I'm interested in building a few Asus eee Box Media Directors and I've already got some nice Planar touchscreen monitors.  Before I shell out the cash for the computers, I'd like to be certain that I can do it this way.

Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks!

You can use a VGA monitor but I don't think the touchscreen option will work.
Thanks

The ELO touchscreens work.
