In a VDR recording, viewed from videos (ie not through VDR interface) I cannot ff/rw and when I pause the recording the bar does not show how far through it I am and there is no mm:ss type display at the top right where it usually is (UI2).
Has anyone else seen this?

I have noticed this too when I briefly tested VDR with 0710 beta3.

Do you have any small sample which has this issue? I would like to check it - to me it looks like there is something wrong with the seeking itself.

This is a limitation with playback of vdr recordings that has been there for a long time. They play fine but pause/play always takes you back to the beginning of the file and as has been relayed here in this thread ffwd/rew does not work.
There are some 'smallish' vdr files on our .34 Core but they may still be too big...ping me tomorrow and I will record say a 30 sec segment for you and you can grab a copy for testing ;-)

Posted a note to the mantis issue with links to new debs of xine-lib 1.1.7 - please test it. Seeking/timecode should work now.

Hi,
I'll test this in the morning with a overnight build... sorry was not in the office much today.

For the overnight build you will need different version of patched xine-lib, based on the 1.1.10.1, I'll post links tomorrow.

Update: fix pushed into the trunk, will be available in the next nightly builds and betas/releases.
