Hmm.. well the NX7600GT Diamond Plus has HDMI out on the card. But this card is really total overkill for LiinuxMCE and will cause a fair amount of frustration with drivers etc.
My recommendation is to just go an buy a cheap 6200 card with DVI out for now and use a DVI to HDMI adaptor. The only thing you loose is the Audio routed through HDMI (as there are no audio signal on a DVI connector) but from a video perspective there is no difference at all. Then later in the year see how the drivers have settled down and what hardware is actually shipping (loads of announcements around HDMI expected at CES next week) and buy a new card then.

Yeah... But somehow I have a healthy level of skepticism about how well wireless hdmi will work in 'the real world' ;-)

also hdmi over coax extenders. and the range for the hdmi wireless is supposed to only be around 40 feet or less. everyones always skepitcal. remember when dvds came out?

hdmi will be fixed when we all use SDI instead. That uses coax, no need for extenders *grin*

I have had hands on experience with virtually every wireless HDMI solution being proposed. First for the UWB solutions 30' (10M) MAX and worse in many environments. Second, they all truncate content somehow- either recompressing or artfully dumping some image component not deemed necessary. Third and most important they will be between $450 and $800 retail. You may as well buy another MD.
SDI won't make it to the consumer market- its not considered secure. However Displayport will muck things up a lot (as will USB video). The CE industry is possibly the most self destructive industry there is. Instead of learning from the VHS Betamax mess they have chosen to repeat it endlessly. DVDA/SACD HDDVD/BluRay HDMI/Displayport/ etc. Marx said, "History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce."

None of those cards (or any others in the wiki) articles mention whether they can do 1080p. And I didn't find any indication elsewhere on the web whether they can do 1080p, let alone whether that's been tested in LMCE.

I have had success getting 1080p on the nvidia 6150 chipsets in 704. The difficulty is getting a valid modeline. The nvidia driver defaults to an invalid modeline (what were they thinking?). The ATSC modeline should work pretty much all the time (go to the mythtv modeline database and get the atsc 60 Hz modeline. The critical number is the pixel rate, should be 148.5 MHz) Sometimes the driver will read back the correct EDID and sometimes not. But it can work and if so it "should" work for any nvidia card capable of 1080p that is supported by the driver. The overlay UI2 works better than the blended UI2.
I can post an Xorg that works next week when I'm back home.

This page is a great resource of info regarding the setup needed for HD. The nVidia 5200 seems to be the baseline for 1080p playback. We have not tested anything below a 6200TC & C51

You're ('all :) welcome. But I understand that LMCE v0710 will offer a choice between MythTV and DVR for the TV subsystem. Which also means the possibility of other alternates. So the wiki will have to be updated to reflect the actual dependency network. Which would be a good overhaul of the wiki generally :).
