Title: Firewire STB recording in Myth?
Post by: kyletrip on October 23, 2007, 02:20:03 am
So I know that Myth TV can record SD and HD (unlocked) channels through the firewire and I was wondering if LMCE does this, or is going to do this in the future? If it does, consider me a convert.

Thanks in advance.

I have successfully streamed and changed channels from My DCT6200 (did not try recording yet) using LinuxMce 7.04 I followed the mythtv firewire notes to get it going.  Had to modify my mythbackend script to prime the firewire connection. All in the mythtv firewire notes.

Good Luck

Tim

I noticed everyone mentions the DCT64XX series. I have a newer (digital only) DCT32XX series. Does the same driver work for these? Also, if you want more than 2 tuners can you connect multiple ones to the same core server?
