Title: Wireless no longer works
Post by: pennstatebadboy on June 06, 2007, 06:06:16 pm
Can someone help a noobie out?

I recently tried to install the newest beta version of linuxmce. The installation failed, but more pressing to me right now is that my wireless card no longer works.

I've tried to reset the essid, key, etc., but it still won't work. Any idea why and how I can get it running again?

Thanks.

why your installation failed? in what point?

The installation failed seemingly far into the process. The installer cached both discs and installed for a while. Then it informed me that the installation failed. I don't know much more than that.

can you provide mce-installer.log? you'll find it in /var/log.

I have the exact same problem. Willing to help out with any debugging necessary.

I had the same problem and I resolved it with reinstalling KnetworkManager again, since LMCE install fracks that part up.. Problem is, if only having a wireless in box, the whole install fracks up majorly.
